What it is

chaTree brings live video chat into oTree, a widely used framework for online experiments in economics. Participants see and hear each other in the browser, and chaTree records who speaks when, so the conversation itself becomes data.

What came out of it

Published in Economics Letters 252 (2025), open access, with Timo Promann, Jan-Patrick Mayer, Gerd Muehlheusser, Andreas Roider and Eugen Tereschenko. Free to use.
